The first idea came at the stadium.
In 2023, I was watching a Dortmund match from the stands. Players on the pitch were wearing torn-open socks. I wondered: why not build the openings into the socks from the start?

I'm Mo.
My parents signed me up to a football club when I was four. After twenty years of club football, I kept playing on local pitches and indoors.
I'm the kind of person who wants to build something. Ideally, something entirely new.

I took part in the German Sport University Cologne's StarS programme with HOLIES. The programme supports sport-related start-up ideas through workshops, individual coaching and exchange with others.

Today there are two models: Grip Cut Socks with an integrated foot section and Cut Sleeves to wear with your own socks.
Where we want to go.
Football gear should fit what players need on the pitch. We want to improve the things that get in the way during training and matches. We started with socks that players were cutting open themselves.
How we get there.
We listen to players, develop prototypes and keep refining the details. That is why HOLIES socks have calf openings built in from the start. Future ideas should also grow from everyday football.
